Support for a variety of mental health concerns

  • Anxiety can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. In relational therapy, we explore the root causes of your anxiety and how it connects to your relationships, past experiences, and internal struggles. By building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, we work together to uncover patterns, reduce overwhelming thoughts, and create healthier ways of coping. By strengthening our therapeutic relationship, we can break the cycle and help you regain control.

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) can manifest in many forms, from intrusive thoughts about contamination or safety to constant doubts about relationships and decision-making. In our work together, I integrate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a proven technique to help you face the anxiety behind these thoughts while resisting the urge to act on compulsions. Whether you're struggling with fears of contamination, perfectionism, harm, or relationship OCD (ROCD), we'll explore the emotional and relational roots of your OCD and challenge unhelpful patterns. With a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, we’ll work together to reduce anxiety, build healthier coping strategies, and help you regain control.

  • Depression can make life feel heavy and disconnected, but it’s possible to find hope and healing. In relational therapy, we dive into how your relationships, experiences, and inner world shape your feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and isolation. By building a supportive, compassionate connection, we can uncover underlying patterns and develop new ways to cope and rediscover meaning. Together, we'll create a space where you feel heard and understood, helping you navigate depression with care, so you can move toward a brighter, more connected future.

  • Relationship challenges can leave you feeling stuck, misunderstood, or disconnected from the people who matter most. In relational therapy, we explore the dynamics that shape your relationships, whether with a partner, family members, or close friends. By focusing on communication, emotional needs, and patterns of interaction, we work together to create deeper understanding and healthier connections. Whether you're facing conflict, struggling with trust, or navigating difficult transitions, I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard and empowered to build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.

  • Working with children and teens requires a personalized, compassionate approach. I integrate play therapy techniques and tailor each session to your child’s unique strengths and needs. Whether your child is dealing with anxiety, behavioral challenges, or difficulty expressing emotions, I create a safe and supportive space where they can explore their feelings, build coping skills, and develop healthier ways to navigate their world. Through play, creative expression, and gentle guidance, we foster emotional growth and self-confidence. I offer flexible, child-centered therapy in-person.

FAQs

  • I offer a sliding scale for therapy. The exact rate will depend on factors such as your financial situation and the type of therapy you’re seeking. • Yes, I am currently in-network with Aetna, Anthem BCBS, and Cigna. Before starting therapy, I will work with you to confirm your coverage and ensure that you're clear on your benefits. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance company directly to inquire about your copay amounts and any other specifics. For clients with out-of-network benefits, I provide superbills for reimbursement.

  • If you have out-of-network (OON) benefits, you can submit a superbill for reimbursement. A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes all the necessary information for your insurance provider to process your claim. I provide these after each session, and you can submit them directly to your insurance company for reimbursement based on your plan’s out-of-network coverage. I recommend contacting your insurance provider beforehand to understand your reimbursement rates and any applicable deductibles or copayments.

  • The process begins with a brief, 15-minute phone consultation where we’ll discuss your current symptoms, goals, and any questions you may have about therapy. After that, we’ll schedule an intake session, which is typically longer and provides an opportunity to explore your background and begin developing a treatment plan. From there, we’ll work together to determine the best cadence for sessions based on your needs and progress.

  • At this time, I am only licensed in NY state. Even for remote sessions, you must be currently residing in NY.
